I picked this up on a whim at the library, and I'm glad I did. I'm a fan of Heeb Magazine, and they've done a great job of collecting some truly embarrassing and funny essays here. My only complaint is that I felt the collection started out strongly, but sort of lost momentum toward the end. Also, the cover caused the librarian to give... HEEB is a magazine focused on reporting Jewish-related information in a humorous style. The title is a reclaimation of the term "hebe," an ethnic slur. (You learn new things every day.) Personally, I know almost nothing about Jewish culture. I've read some of the religious texts, but I've done that for all the major religions. (Haven't... I liked most of these stories, but they felt too short, which I guess is the peril of making an anthology from a reading series.
