More About Beatrix Potter's Journal
Sunday, January 27, 1884. -- There was another story in the paper a week or so since. A gentleman had a favourite cat whom he taught to sit at the dinner table where it behaved very well. He was in the habit of putting any scraps he left onto the cat's plate. One day puss did not take his place punctually, but presently appeared with two mice, one of which it placed on its master's plate, the other on its own. Beatrix Potter, Beatrix Potter's Journal //
Such a delightful book! I read the Kindle version and now I would love to have the hardbound book. A book I'll go back and read again and again. Truly delightful! Really enjoyed reading/going through it. :) A book to bask in. Welcome to the watercolor world of Beatrix Potter--the hoppiest, happiest place on earth. Except, it wasn't always. Still, this interactive scrapbook-slash-journal is an armchair adventure to be savored by dreamers only; not the overly erudite.
