The Bibliotheca Alexandrina devotionals series are each a labor of love. I don't think that they are meant to be read straight-through - though you could if you wanted - and I make use of this book like a prayer book when engaged in worship or contemplation. I'll pick a page, read it, think about it and let it move me. Not all of the... I was actaully quite pleased by this book. I've been trying to incorporate the gods more into my practice, and some of the entries in here spoke to me enough that I could use them. There are so many different formats of poetry and prose that I'm sure everyone could find something that speaks to them in these pages.
