I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.I would like to give it 3.5 stars.The characters are likeable enough. The conflict and tensions between them all are satisfying.The pace moves well. I just couldn't say I really cared all that much.I wanted to be more attached and involved.The question continues throughout... May had his eyes on Jeanne for years, before she ever noticed him. Now that he is back in Paris, he has caught her eye, but he has a girlfriend. They dance around each other and their connection in a painful dance. A story full of passion, the threat of unrequited love, self imposed limitations, love, and self discovery. A great addition... I love Alix Nichols books because I love the way her characters fall in love. It takes a while for the stars to align, for conditions to be just so, for her heroes and heroines to realize they need each other. Mat is living with Cecile, a dedicated environmental lawyer, but he's held spirited bartender Jeanne in his heart for years....
