More About No Stones: Women Redeemed from Sexual Addiction
But the father had a different relationship in mind. He didnt want a slave or a servant or a friend or even a relative. The father longed for a son. The father knew his boys sinfulness and he loved him anyway. He knew the perversions of the sons heart and he loved him anyway. He knew the shame in the young mans spirit, and the father went running gladly to meet him and welcomed him with open arms. Marnie C. Ferree, No Stones: Women Redeemed from Sexual Addiction // When we experience enough grace from human hands, we begin to trust that God also extends his grace. Marnie C. Ferree, No Stones: Women Redeemed from Sexual Addiction // Forgiveness is an intellectual decision not an emotional one. That means you make a conscious choice no matter how you feel. You may still be angry, yet you forgive. You may still be in pain, but you forgive. You may still be wearing the scars of the abuse, but you forgive. Marnie C. Beautifully written and thorough in research, this book comes at a prime time when the discussion of female sexual addiction is beginning to be taken seriously. An excellent resource for addicts, friends, counselors, and pastors. This is the only really comprehensive book I've seen about women's sexual addiction. It is well written from both a spiritual and a practical viewpoint. Because it was written by a recovering sex addict, it takes a fairly sympathetic view toward the offending partner or spouse which some might find difficult, but the point is to help... This is a hard book to read especially if you know of someone with this addiction but it is one of the BEST books I've read and truly helpful combining therapy with spiritual aspects. Anyone with this addiction or who knows someone with it would benefit from reading. I HIGHLY recommend it.
